Double Bachelor’s degree in Law (UDC + University of South Wales)

Double Bachelor’s degree in Law (UDC + University of South Wales)

What does the double degree collaboration between UDC and the University of South Wales (USW) consist of?

The double degree programme allows students to obtain two Bachelor’s degrees in Law (one from UDC and one from USW) in four years based on mutual recognition of credits by both universities. Students spend the first three years of the degree at UDC and the fourth year at USW.

What are the requirements?

Students are required to have passed a minimum of 120 ECTS before applying for the programme, and 180 ECTS before starting their year at USW.
Students are also required to hold a B2 certificate in English at the time of application and a C1 certificate by the time they enter USW. Students studying the bilingual Bachelor’s degree in Law are exempt from this requirement.

How and when should I apply for a study exchange?

Applications for bilateral mobility should be submitted during the general applications period announced by UDC. Students who not qualify for a grant may choose to study the Double Bachelor’s degree on a self-funded basis.

Is there any additional paperwork I need to submit to USW?

Students accepted on the double degree programme are required to register with USW as well.

For more details regarding the registration process and all other formalities, successful mobility applicants should contact the Vice-Dean for International Relations (vicedecana.derecho@udc.es) before the end of March.

What subjects will I study at USW?

The full list of modules is available to download here: USW modules.

Final dissertations will be defended at UDC upon completion of the mobility period. Special examination sessions may be convened, if necessary. Double degree students may choose to write and defend their dissertation in English, Galician or Spanish.
